Mandatory update! Riecoin Core and rieMiner 2507 released

Riecoin Core 2507 was released on July 10, 2025. Read the release notes to learn more about the changes from 2501/2505 and upgrade instructions. The upgrade from 2501/2505 is straightforward for the vast majority of Riecoin Users as promised by the previous release notes.

Along with usual maintenance chores, this version brings a major and practical way to find new Prime Constellations records directly via Riecoin Mining as it is now possible to add an offset to the Difficulty to look for prime numbers larger than required. This change had to be implemented as a Hard Fork, so please upgrade as soon as possible to 2507 to ensure a prompt and smooth network upgrade for everyone and allow those interested to be able to break records.
rieMiner 2507 was also released to support the Difficulty Offset Feature.

Another noteworthy change from 2501 is that bootstraps are now a thing of the past. The first sync is now performed reasonably quickly, allowing a more convenient introduction to Riecoin for newcomers who no longer have to look for a bootstrap.

⚠️ Beware! 2507 Hard Fork occurred a few days ago at Block 2403949. Unfortunately, FreiExchange and Exbitron still have not upgraded to 2507, do not deposit RIC to or withdraw from these Exchanges until we can confirm that they upgraded.
Both Exchanges were contacted a month ago already.

Meanwhile, you can use NonKyc, or NestEx where we have been newly listed. NestEx is in Bêta phase but are very promising as we are looking for and building more interesting options for Riecoin traders, that are also much more reliable with Riecoin updates.

The Hard Fork also means that you can now safely use the Difficulty Offset feature to beat records while mining.

There are a few Solo Miners who did not upgrade in time and ended up in the wrong chain... You know that you are not in the correct chain if you do not see your Blocks in the Explorer.
If you are one of them, please upgrade to 2507 as soon as possible!
